Color with me – The Lake from Skymnings Timman, day three

So so sorry to have kept you waiting for such an eternity! My life has spinned completely out of control lately, haven’t had time for anything much. Still trying to find balance between things and not sure how it will work out but I’ll try to post a bit here and there to get re-started.

Anyway, lets finish this lake image, shall we?

Stuff used on day one:
Derwent Procolour (set of 72)
Pencils listed in order of appearance (note, no repeats in the list). Feel free to use other pencils and/or replace some colorways entirely with something else you like

  • Racing Green
  • Foliage
  • Light Moss
  • Sakura Micron 01 (feel freeto use any black thin marker/pen or skip entirely)
  • Kingfisher Blue
  • Midnight Blue
  • Turquoise Green
  • Blue Grey
  • Sunset Gold
  • Chocolate
  • Copper Beech
  • Autumn Leaf
  • Burnt Yellow Ochre
  • Grape
  • Imperial Purple
  • Soft Violet
  • Letraset Pro Marker Blender (feel freeto use a pencil blender or skip entirely)
  • White Posca, size 3M (feel free to use Signo Uniball white gel pen or skip entirely)

Overall, I can’t remember the things I thought during this video, sorry! I filmed this long ago and didn’t have the time to edit it all together and post so it’s been a long while. I do recall not particularly liking the Derwent Procolour pencils but I’ll give them another go before doing a full review. And I wish I’d done something with the squirrel to make little sir pop, at this point he pretty much blends into the tree. All in all, not really loving how it turned out but maybe it’s just me.

End result:

Obviously, the one video a week didn’t pan out, I’ll try to post more frequently then six weeks though 😀 I can’t make everything that I must do fit into the 24 hours I have. I do so miss coloring and all of you though.

All parts of this tutorial:
Day one – trees
Day two – lake, some foliage
Day three – everything else, finishing touches
