I’m absolutely sure you have seen Animorphia at least a few times now but hey, can’t have too much of a good thing now can you. Animorphia is an amazing book filled with tons of fun details, animals morphing into all kinds of strange things and creatures.
The paper is good quality, it can take a tiny bit of water if you want but use cautiously, don’t flood the page. The images are on both sides, alcohol-based markers are not a good idea unless you don’t care about the image on the other side of the page you’re working on.
Overall I love this book. The images can be daunting and intimidating with the amount of detail involved but start somewhere and see where it goes. A good tip for crazy pictures like this is to warm yourself up with a limited palette and do one color at a time, that will help you see the balance changing and it won’t get too messy with a bazillion colors all unbalanced and nuts. Though that can work great as well in this book. I think anything goes with this, really.

The fun giveaway bit:

Since everyone needs this in their life, if by some wonder you don’t have this, here’s your chance of getting one! The only things you have to do are:
1) leave a comment on this post, telling me what your most recent favorite coloring-related thing is, whether it be a book, art supply of some sort, Youtube video, whatever made you giddy last;
2) make sure you enter through the Rafflecopter widget as well, otherwise your entry won’t count.

Every extra thing Rafflecopter offers is well.. an extra entry. So if you want, you can increase your chances with those but they’re not mandatory.

  1. I am new to coloring, so I do not, actually, have this book! Thanks for the opportunity to win it.

    My favorite thing in my coloring life are Derwent intense pencils. I am enchanted by them! They are magical, and surprisingly great at managing the insane intricacy of Johanna Basford’s postcards!

  2. I have just expanded my Prisma collection from an old office supply store which carries open stock. What fun to sharpen and organize these pencils!

  3. I have this book on my wish list until I finish another of Kirby’s books, Doodle Invasions. My favorite things right now are my new Inktense pencils, water brushes, and the Zig Twin Tip Blender Marker, Clear. They all work together so nicely and really make for intense colors. Thanks for the sweepstakes entry.

  4. I love all things coloring!! I’m a Coloraholics Anonymous Dropout!! I can’t stop myself! I saw fluorescent colored pencils at Staples and had to have them. Of course, they were fatter than my pencil sharpener so I had to buy a new one as well. I fell in love with a particular cat coloring book and after discovering I had been chatting with the artist of it, she told me it was on sale for half price on Amazon, I HAD to have it!!! I can’t stop!! LOL!!!

  5. I love coloring, I color every day from morning till night. I have a large variety of books and try to color at least one picture a week per book. I recently bought a set of 72 Derwent Inktense pencils and absolutely love them, they are the best pencils I have used so far!!!! I have been eyeing the Animorphia book and is on my next buy list…….it would be amazing if I win a copy!!!!!

  6. I love gels pens the most, but I have a pretty close feeling of joy when I use my little set of 36 Prismacolor colored pencils. However, I have to kind of agree with a earlier comment that I read, I love anything to do with coloring. 🙂 I don’t have a lot of coloring supplies, nor do I own a lot of coloring books. I have bought a total of 5 coloring books and the few others that I own, I won through coloring contests luckily. I am very blessed to have what I do have, who wouldn’t? I would love to win this book because I do not own this book but have seen reviews for it and it looks pretty awesome and I would like to own it. So, thank-you for giving us all a chance to win this awesome book. Whoever wins it will have won a great book! Good luck everyone! Have a blessed evening!

  7. I have just received my Prismacolour premium pencils and would love to win this book to try them out. I have also on order Hanna Karlzon books and Johanna Basford book. This would be a great book to add to my small collection. 💕💕
